It was a quickie wedding for Hannah Cano and Ramir Bargamento. As they had to depend on the availability of the solemnizing officer, no less than the legendary Davao City Mayor now current vice-mayor Rodrigo Duterte.

The earlier arrangement was for a quickie engagement session shortly before the civil wedding but due to changing schedules of the vice-mayor, I had to finish the office meeting and come to the Sangguniang Panglungsod building just in time for the ceremonies.

The civil wedding was solemn with the close friends and family of the couple. The Mayor was jovial enough as he took time to lecture the couple about marital vows. Plus he entertained some  star-struck guests for some picture-taking. By the way Ramir is the brother of Kapitan Abay of Barangay Mintal, a political ally of the Dutertes.

I then asked the couple for a simple post-nuptial pictures. It was nearing six p.m. The encroaching twilight was becoming problematic for the camera. Anyway managed to take out some good shots. And enhanced it through photoshop.

Tried to put some new styles and techniques in post-processing, vintage effects and painting-like styles.

I wanted to create a vintage newspaper effect in this photo

This photo had the couple walking towards Bolton street, we were enroute to Cellar, a
restaurant  located a block from here.  Took this shot amidst the backdrop of the bustling
San Pedro Street. I tried creating some painting effect of the couple and guests walking.

Davao City just like other Philippine cities had this generic urban look, a mix breed of buildings built according to individual styles. This is what it makes the background perfect, there is much character and life into it.
